The course is designed specifically for CILS candidates. You will become familiar with the structure of the exam, typical task types, timing and useful strategies before exam day.
How the live course works
A clear study format designed to help you prepare consistently and stay focused on the CILS B1 exam.
Join a small online group
Study in a mini-group of 3–6 students, so you have enough time to participate, ask questions and practise actively.
Attend live Zoom lessons
Meet your teacher online in real time and work through exam tasks, strategies and common mistakes together.
Practise between lessons
Reinforce what you have learned with practice materials and homework focused on the CILS B1 exam format.
Review lesson recordings
If you need to revise a difficult topic or miss part of a lesson, you can review the class recording later.
Prepare together. Get individual attention.
A small live group combines the structure and motivation of studying with others with enough time for your teacher to work with you personally.
A real mini-group — not a large online class
With a maximum of six students, everyone has the opportunity to participate, ask questions, practise speaking and receive feedback from the teacher.
More speaking practice
Practise answering questions, expressing your ideas and interacting with other students in a supportive environment.
Personal feedback
Understand your mistakes and learn what you need to improve before taking the real CILS B1 exam.
Stay focused
A structured schedule keeps your preparation moving forward instead of leaving everything until the weeks before the exam.
Learn from others
Hearing other students' answers and questions helps you discover different ways to approach the same exam task.
More than a recorded course
Self-study can be useful, but live preparation gives you something a recorded lesson cannot: interaction, correction and real-time feedback from a teacher.
Ask questions during the lesson
Receive feedback on your performance
Practise speaking with real people
Follow a structured preparation schedule

Is your Italian level ready for CILS B1 preparation?
You don't need to guess. If you're not sure about your current Italian level, we can send you a placement test before you join the course.
This is an exam preparation course. It is designed for students who already have approximately a B1 level of Italian.
Start your exam preparation
If you can already communicate in Italian at approximately B1 level, you can focus directly on the CILS exam format, strategies and practice.
Take our placement test
We'll help you understand whether you're ready to start CILS B1 preparation or whether you should strengthen your Italian first.
Build your B1 level first
If your current level is A2 or lower, we recommend improving your general Italian before beginning exam-specific preparation.
Preparation built around the CILS exam
Our courses are designed specifically for students preparing for Italian language certification — with practical exam training, experienced teachers and a clear study structure.
Experienced Italian teachers
Learn with qualified teachers who understand the challenges international students face when preparing for an Italian language exam.
Exam-focused preparation
Lessons are structured around the skills, task types and strategies you need for the CILS B1 exam — not a general Italian language programme.
Small live groups
With only 3–6 students, you have more opportunities to speak, participate and receive feedback during every lesson.
Study from anywhere
All lessons take place live online via Zoom, so you can prepare for your exam wherever you live.

CILS B1 course FAQ
Everything you need to know before joining a live CILS B1 preparation group.
What level of Italian do I need before joining the course?
This is an exam preparation course, so we recommend joining when your current Italian level is approximately B1. If you are not sure about your level, we can send you a placement test before enrolment.
Can I join if my current level is A2?
If your level is still A2, we usually recommend improving your general Italian to B1 first. Exam preparation is much more effective when the required language level is already in place.
What is the difference between CILS B1 Standard and B1 Cittadinanza?
CILS B1 Standard is the general B1 certification exam, while B1 Cittadinanza is specifically designed for candidates who need a B1 certificate for Italian citizenship.
Our preparation courses are also different: CILS B1 Standard includes 12 live lessons and costs €150, while B1 Cittadinanza includes 10 live lessons and costs €125.
How many students are in each group?
Our live preparation groups are small, with 3–6 students. This gives every participant more opportunities to speak, ask questions and receive feedback from the teacher.
Where do the lessons take place?
All lessons are held live online via Zoom. You can join from anywhere, as long as you have a stable internet connection.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
Lesson recordings are available to course participants, so you can review the material later if you miss a class or want to repeat a difficult topic.
Are course materials included?
Yes. Digital materials, practice activities and exam-focused resources are included in the course.
Does the course include registration for the CILS exam?
No. The course fee covers preparation only. Registration for the official CILS exam is completed separately through an authorised CILS examination centre.
Can I take individual lessons after the group course?
Yes. If you need additional practice in a specific area, such as speaking or writing, individual lessons can be arranged separately.
