Who Created the Course
Fabio Boero
Fabio Boero is the director of the Italian Cultural Centers Fabrizio De André and a specialist in Italian language certification exams.
He has more than 10 years of experience teaching Italian as a foreign language and preparing students for official language exams.
He collaborates with universities and international institutions and holds the DITALS II certification from the University for Foreigners of Siena.
Fabio is also an exam administrator for Italian language certifications, which allows him to understand the exam requirements and prepare students effectively.

What is the CILS Exam?
The CILS (Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera) is an official Italian language certification issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena.
The certificate confirms your level of Italian according to the CEFR scale (A1–C2) and is recognized by universities, employers and Italian institutions.
The CILS certificate may be required for:
• Italian citizenship
• university admission in Italy
• work in Italy
• residence permit applications
For Italian citizenship, the required exam is CILS B1 Cittadinanza.
